The most striking element of this new Land Cruiser is its front end, with an imposing chrome grille surrounded by a black U-shaped air intake. The optics seem almost tiny next to it, with a signature LED light that sits on it. ‘integrates in the extension of a chrome insert of the grille. The back side seems more classic, with rectangular lines.

The interior seems rather classic, with a handset with traditional needle counters, accompanied by a large digital display. A large touch screen located on the top of the central console also completes the equipment of this new Land Cruiser.

Let’s go for the Yaris Cross ! The SUV version of the little Yaris arrives on the French market. Toyota opens its order book and at the same time announces its prices and details of its range .

The model, which is 4.18 m long, is therefore available from… 25,500 € . Only one hybrid engine is available . This combines a three-cylinder 1.5L petrol unit and a 59 kilowatt electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery for a total power of 116 horsepower . All in two or four-wheel drive (intelligent all- wheel drive AWD-i).

Four finishes and a special launch series

At launch, the range is made up of 4 finishes (“Dynamic”, “Design”, “Collection” and “Trail”) plus a special “Première” series (plus a “Business” finish dedicated to professionals).

The entry-level “Dynamic”, available only in traction, has automatic air conditioning as standard, the Toyota Safety Sense package (pre-collision system, intelligent adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with keeping in line, reading traffic signs, etc.), a reversing camera, an 8-inch touch screen and a leather steering wheel.

Above, the “Design” level adds 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive full LED lights, sequential LED indicators, dark-tinted rear windows, an electrochromatic interior mirror or even the Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system with 9-inch touch screen.

The “Trail” finish is enriched by roof rails, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, heated front seats, half-leather upholstery, a head-up display, front and rear parking sensors. and a blind spot and rear traffic warning system.

To this, and for the same price, the “Collection” level adds a two-tone bodywork.

Finally, the special launch series called “Première”, available only in all-wheel drive, is meant to be over-equipped with a unique two-tone paint, specific 18-inch two-tone alloy rims, leather upholstery, an electric tailgate with opening on the menu. hands-free, a panoramic roof, an 8-speaker JBL audio system and an induction smartphone charger. Not to mention the semi-autonomous Toyota Teammate Advanced Park parking system

Unveiled at the end of March, the more adventurous “Adventure” finish (protection plate under the rear bumper, silver rails on the roof ..) is not yet in the catalog.

It takes the name of Adventure and reinforces the adventurer side of the Yaris Cross with specific design elements.

A more adventurous model than the “classic” Yaris Cross

Its front face, in particular, has been revised to show more robustness . There is also a skid plate under the rear bumper, silver-colored roof rails and 18-inch alloy wheels in a dark gray finish.

On board, this renewed personality is underlined by black lacquered trim elements and a black headliner. The wraparound imitation leather seats benefit from a specific design and a golden color line extends from the dashboard to the storm doors to add a touch of refinement and originality.

Always 100% hybrid

Reservations open in April

Manufactured at the Toyota plant in Valenciennes-Onnaing , in the North of France, the new Toyota Yaris Cross will be available for online reservation at the beginning of April 2021 . First in the “Adventure” version and with the limited launch “Première” series.

Offered during the first twelve months of marketing, the latter will be particularly well equipped since it will receive as standard equipment specific 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, a motorized tailgate with hands-free opening, a head-up display, a panoramic roof , an 8-speaker JBL audio system and semi-autonomous parking aid.
