Mercedes AMG GLE 63 S: Brabus gives us a muscular preparation

Mercedes AMG GLE 63S Brabus gives us a muscular preparation

The Brabus preparer improves the Mercedes GLE 63 S AMG SUV to make it significantly more powerful!

Brabus is used to delivering us muscular versions for his preparations. For this occasion, the German is tackling Mercedes’ big SUV, the GLE 63 S AMG, and offers it careful preparation.

Shiny black and carbon

Regarding the exterior part, the preparer opted for a body kit made up of several aerodynamic elements, all made of carbon fiber.

There is a new grille at the front, a roof spoiler , a diffuser with four 90 mm tailpipes also in carbon mixed with titanium elements.

The interior is also largely modified, with two-tone red and black leather seats that can also be found on the steering wheel. Finally, many elements in shiny carbon fiber are also arranged on the dashboard and at the level of the central column.

The SUV is also equipped with a special module, which allows the suspension to be lowered by 25 mm. The wheels are shod with huge 24-inch Monoblock Z Platinum Edition rims.

Almost 800 horsepower for the Brabus SUV

For its preparation, Brabus offers 188 additional horsepower to the V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo which offers 612 horsepower.

Thus, thanks to the installation of the Brabus PowerXtra B40S-800 module , the vehicle has after transformation a power of 800 hp and 1000 Nm of torque!

All the power is sent to the four-wheel drive via an ultra-fast 9-speed Speedshift , which offers impressive performance for a vehicle of such a large size: indeed, the exercise of 0 to 100 km / h is complete. in 3.4 seconds! The top speed is 280 km / h and acceleration takes place under a demonic sound thanks to the sports exhaust system in stainless steel.

If you plan to afford it, the manufacturer offers its SUV at a price of 300,000 euros .

Mercedes-AMG E 63 S: Posaidon offers 940 horsepower

Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Posaidon offers 940 horsepower

If you did not find the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S powerful enough, the Germans at Posaidon may have a solution: a preparation pushing it to 940 horsepower!

For dads in a hurry, Mercedes-AMG offers the E 63 S 4Matic + as a station wagon, with a twin-turbo V8 of 612 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km / h in less than 3.5 seconds: not bad for a family! But if you still want more, the German trainer Posaidon offers an even more extreme vision of Mercedes-AMG E 63 S .

Mercedes-AMG E 63 S: up to 1,278 Nm of torque!

This Mercedes – AMG E 63 S station wagon signed Posaidon now displays a power of 940 horsepower and 1,278 Nm of torque , i.e. a gain of 328 horsepower and 428 Nm of torque compared to the production model! The maximum speed has been raised to 350 km / h , compared to “only” 250 km / h originally …

To achieve these impressive figures, Posaidon reworked the turbos, air intake, exhaust line, cylinder head, valve seats, as well as electronics, with completely revised engine and transmission mappings. Posaidon, on the other hand, has not announced a price for this formidable preparation, which is capable of swallowing 0 to 100 km / h in 3.0 seconds , or 0.5 seconds better than the original model.

However, this new achievement is not the most extreme E-Class you will find at Posaidon: indeed, the German preparer had already tackled the previous generation of the sedan in 2017, offering the V8 engine of 5.5 liters a power of 1,090 horsepower and 1,350 Nm of torque!

DS 4 (2021): wheel trims compulsory on the entry-level finish!

DS 4 (2021) wheel trims compulsory on the entry-level finish

Tempted to fall for the “French luxury” promised by the DS 4 sedan? Pay attention to the basic finish, which forces you to equip it with sheet metal rims …

DS recently unveiled all the prices for its DS 4 sedan, and put its configurator online. The opportunity to discover a rather unexpected decision: on the entry-level finish, called Bastille, you will not have access to alloy rims ! While this finish already climbs to € 29,200 , you will have to go “old-fashioned”, with sheet metal rims and hubcaps … Even going through the options, impossible to override. In the DS configurator, sheet metal rims are also listed as “a strong point” …

To have access to classic alloy rims, it will cost € 1,000 more for the Bastille + finish.

More expensive than its rivals

A frankly absurd look, in contrast with the tense and modern lines of the DS 4. She who wants to play in the big leagues and attack the German premium like the Mercedes Class A or the Audi A3 . And the latter, in addition to being less expensive (€ 28,899 for the Mercedes, € 28,630 for the Audi), of course offer alloy wheels as standard.

The fact remains that the Frenchwoman is, apart from this conduct, better equipped at the entry level. We find for example the PureTech 130 under the hood, while the Germans have to be content with 110 hp blocks. The interior is also well-equipped as standard, with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10-inch central touchscreen.

A decision which is therefore all the more surprising. This is clearly a misstep for DS, which wants to display itself as French luxury. A luxury that rolls on sheet metal rims …

Maybach 57 S Xenatec Coupé (2010): a rare copy for sale

Maybach 57 S Xenatec Coupé (2010) a rare copy for sale

There were only eight copies produced: this rare Maybach 57 S Xenatec Coupé, which belonged to footballer Samuel Eto’o, is now for sale.

In the early 2000s, Daimler wanted to relaunch the luxurious Maybach brand, which had its heyday in the 1930s, by marketing the Maybach 57 and 62, luxury sedans based on the Mercedes S-Class . Without success, the Maybach brand will disappear in the early 2010s, only to survive later as a luxury label for the most upscale Mercedes-Benz models.

The Maybach 57 , and more particularly its 612 hp S version, has caught the attention of German coachbuilder Xenatec , who wants to transform it into a Coupé. Mercedes signed for the supply of a hundred copies of its luxury sedan, but all did not go as planned: in fact, only eight units were produced , before Xenatec closed its doors on background of financial embezzlement.

Maybach 57 S Xenatec Coupé (2010): a rarity at 795,000 euros

This copy of the Maybach 57S Xenatec Coupé is being offered for sale by Gallery Aaldering, a specialist in exceptional classic cars in the Netherlands. It was delivered in June 2010 to footballer Samuel Eto’o , who then officiated at Inter Milan, and has only traveled 13,509 kilometers since. Under the hood, we find a twin-turbo V12 of 612 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque , associated with a five-speed automatic transmission, all allowing the car to reach 0 to 100 km / h in just 5 seconds .

Its body has a black “Baltic Black” paint, contrasting with gray aluminum rims and a good dose of chrome inserts, and remains in excellent condition. The same goes for the interior, where we find a white leather trim “Alaska Weiß” contrasting with black inserts and carbon fiber elements.

This rare Maybach 57 S Xenatec Coupé is on sale for 795,000 euros . It comes with all of its documentation, an original Maybach book and scarf supplied with the car, duplicate keys and a battery charger.

This 300 SL will become a reality!

This 300 SL will become a reality

We all know the Mercedes 300 SL. But not exactly in this form. And for good reason, this car does not yet exist. This model will really be walking the roads soon!

This creation is the work of artist Jon Sibal, an American automotive designer . As for the company crazy enough to build such a machine, it is called S-Kulb . This name may not mean anything to you, but it is nevertheless at the origin of great achievements such as the replica of a Porsche 550 Spyder whose style closely resembles that of the Mercedes.

A roof that makes all the difference

But that’s not all ! They also built a similar Mercedes 300 SL , but without a roof. The big novelty comes from this part of the body – removable in passing – which covers the passenger compartment. Very handy in rainy weather, for example . It is simply not present on the Speedster already produced. The other differences are ultimately minimal: a dark green shade with the most beautiful effect that contrasts with the golden rims of the HRE brand.

No, we don’t cut anything

Do not panic, this is not a real 300 SL that we cut to achieve this result . Under this magnificent body which shaves the bitumen hides in reality a Mercedes SLK, as for the Speedster version. The engine is an original AMG V6 and it will drive the rear wheels only!

We don’t know you, but we can’t wait to finally see this gem on the road!

Check out the video of the Roadster version of this Mercedes 300 SL below:

Mercedes S-Class (2021): Mansory offers up to 526 horsepower

Mercedes S-Class (2021) Mansory offers up to 526 horsepower

For once, Mansory has not disfigured this Mercedes S-Class, which offers a more aggressive look and overpowered engine preparation.

Mansory is renowned for marketing aesthetic preparations of sometimes questionable taste , for sports cars and other luxury cars of many brands. Recently launched, the latest generation of Mercedes S-Class (Type W 223) also went through the workshops of the German preparer, but once is not customary, the proposed modifications are rather discreet.

Mercedes S-Class (2021): a complete body kit

The new Mercedes S-Class is seen here decked out with a carbon fiber body kit , including air intakes, mirror caps, a front spoiler, side skirts, a roof and trunk spoiler, or a extractor at the rear, with a quadruple exhaust outlet. Two models of 22-inch alloy wheels to choose from complete this exterior look.

Inside, we find carbon fiber inserts, a specific steering wheel trimmed with leather and enhanced with carbon fiber, specific mats, an aluminum pedals, as well as leather upholstery, whose colors and stitching are customizable. according to the tastes of the end customer.

Under the hood, Mansory offers engine preparation for the S 400d and S 500 versions . The S 400d Diesel version now displays a power of 395 horsepower and 837 Nm of torque , i.e. a gain of 65 horsepower and 137 Nm compared to the original engine: here, the 0 to 100 km / h is swallowed in 4.8 seconds (i.e. 0.6 seconds faster) for a maximum speed of 270 km / h (+ 20 km / h). The S 500 petrol version develops 526 horsepower and 629 Nm of torque , i.e. a gain of 91 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque: the 0 to 100 km / h is shot in 4.3 seconds (i.e. 0.6 seconds more fast) for a maximum speed of 270 km / h (+ 20 km / h).

Video: when the Porsche 911 GT1, McLaren F1 and Mercedes CLK GTR meet (part-2)…

Video when the Porsche 911 GT1, McLaren F1 and Mercedes CLK GTR meet ...

The road versions of these 3 cars that have marked the history of motorsport, and more particularly the 24 hours of Le Mans, are found on the Millbrook circuit in England for a summit meeting!

A few days ago, we were already telling you about this incredible gathering! Luckily, it has 3 parts, each dedicated to a particular car . After telling you about the McLaren F1 , today let’s take a look at the one that won the category in 1996: The Porsche 911 GT1. An equally legendary vehicle, but perhaps a little less well known .

A 911 with a central engine!

The recipe for creating this GT1 was ultimately quite simple: take the front of a 993 generation Porsche 911 and stick the back of a 962 already victorious at Le Mans. What makes it, the first 911 with an engine located in the rear central position!

993 or 996?

Eh yes ! Underneath this body, there is indeed a 993 and not 996 as these boomerang-shaped lights might imply . Why ? Because in 1997, the year in which the majority of these road GT1s were built, the new generation of 911 came out, the 996 . And what could be better than an ultra rare supercar to promote a brand new product?

Ultra powerful and ultra rare

To respect the regulations of the category, 25 units had to be built for the road . A figure largely reached by the McLaren , but it seems that Porsche was able to produce only 20 units of its GT1. A very, very rare car! Its performances are up to this exclusivity. Weighing only 1150 kg, the turbo flat 6 developing 540 hp and which sends its power to the rear wheels via a manual gearbox allows it to reach 100 km / h in just 3.7 s!

We meet again

You guessed it, there remains a third video covering this infernal trio and more particularly the supercar with the star. We will therefore meet once again around these legends to talk about the third and last car: the Mercedes CLK GTR!

Check out the video of the part-2 of this legendary rally below:

Video: he drops his Mercedes G-Class from a helicopter!

Video he drops his Mercedes G-Class from a helicopter

The G-Class is renowned for being robust. But in what state will it end up once dropped several hundred meters above the ground from a Russian helicopter?

Russians have their own unique outlook on life. They like to test things that no one has done before, and maybe for good reason. After some eccentric creations to say the least, it’s time to talk about equally improbable destruction. One fine morning, a local YouTuber woke up wondering how tough the Mercedes G-Class was . What better way to verify it than to let it crash from a helicopter? No ?

Find a G-Class and a helicopter

First, you have to find a G-Class . That’s good, he had one on hand! Remember that the prices of such a new vehicle start at € 111,952 … But having this car is not enough, you still need enough to bring it into the air! The G-Class weighs over 2.5 t. No problem for the Youtuber who found an Mi-8 helicopter over 18 m long and nearly 7 tons that can climb to an altitude of 4,500m to let go of his Mercedes .

A real automotive crepe

The least we can say is that the result is not pretty . Nothing remains of the car which crashed with a crash in the snow . It’s virtually impossible to say this is a Mercedes, let alone a G-Class . We are closer to the automobile crepe than anything else. But why do such a thing? We really have no idea… Still, it seems to please since the video has been viewed nearly 1 million 500 times on YouTube!

Check out the video of this poor G-Class below:

Bussink GT Speedlegend (2021): the Mercedes-AMG GT R turns into a Speedster!

Bussink GT Speedlegend (2021) the Mercedes-AMG GT R turns into a Speedster

On the occasion of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, Bussink unveiled the GT Speedlegend, a Mercedes-AMG GT R transformed into a speedster and limited to five copies.

Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019, the Mercedes-AMG GT R Roadster is one of the most desirable variants of the GT, especially since it is limited to 750 copies. Bussink went even further by transforming it into a speedster, with this Bussink GT Speedlegend presented on the sidelines of the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix 2021. A model which is reminiscent of the SLR Stirling Moss !

Bussink GT Speedlegend (2021): an 850 horsepower V8

Some elements are also inspired by Formula 1, such as this central beam which is inspired by the Halo designed to improve the safety of drivers during races, and which embeds the central mirror. For the rest, the soft top has been removed, the uprights shortened, and the glazing replaced by plexiglass elements. In total, no less than 100 kg were removed , thus contributing to the lightening of the model as well as the lowering of the center of gravity.

Under the hood, the Mercedes -AMG GT R has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 , developing the output of 585 horsepower. This was apparently not enough for Bussink, who pushed this mechanic to reach 850 horsepower . What to offer beautiful sensations on the road and on the circuits.

Limited to only five copies , this Bussink GT Speedlegend is a real rarity that will not be frequent on your road. No price has been announced, but know that the five units planned have already found a taker …

DS 4 (2021): full prices revealed!

DS 4 (2021) full prices revealed

After unveiling the prices for the launch version “La Première”, DS lifts the veil on the entire DS 4 range!

After announcing the prices of the limited launch series , logically called “La Première”, DS is finally opening orders for the rest of the DS 4 range. The opportunity to discover the prices of the different versions and finishes of the French sedan , which seeks to tease the German premium.

And the prices reflect this: the cheapest DS 4 will be available for € 29,200. For this price, you will be entitled to PureTech 130 gasoline in automatic gearbox, and with the first level of finish, which DS calls Bastille. To be compared with the entry prices of competitors such as the Mercedes Class A (€ 28,899 in petrol 110 ch with manual gearbox), or the Volkswagen Golf (€ 27,395, petrol 110 ch, mechanical gearbox). The Frenchwoman is therefore clearly aiming above the Golf, which will be the prime target of the new Peugeot 308, expected slightly above € 25,000.

Three versions: normal, SUV type, or sport type

The rest of the range revolves around three versions: DS 4, DS 4 Cross, and DS 4 Performance Line . The Cross version will play on a typical SUV look (without changing the dimensions), with plastic protections at the level of the shields, specific rims, roof bars, and other aesthetic details. For its part, the Performance Line displays, as its name suggests, a sporty look. There is a ” Black Pack ” (the entire grille and decorative inserts in black instead of chrome), specific black rims, and different materials inside such as the Alcantara.

Each of these versions has its own finishing scale: DS does not go to the simplest … On the classic DS 4, there are four finishes : Bastille, Bastille +, Trocadero, and Rivoli, without counting the launch version “La First ”. The DS 4 Cross will only be available in the Trocadero or Rivoli finish, while the Performance Line is offered as is or in a superior Performance Line + finish . Most of the on-board technologies will be delivered as standard from the Trocadero finish , which is the heart of the range. Bastille and Bastille + are also equipped with a fabric interior.

The top of the range at € 47,500

On the engine side, the powers range from 130 to 225 hp . In gasoline, we find the PureTech 130, 180 or 225. Only one diesel is available, the BlueHDi 130. Finally, a plug-in hybrid version E-Tense 225 is available, with an autonomy announced at 55 km (WLTP) in 100% mode electric. Note that the DS 4 is not available in manual gearbox.

To see more clearly, DS gives us some examples of configurations. In addition to the entry-level DS 4 in Bastille finish at € 29,200, we thus discover a DS 4 Bastille + diesel 130 automatic at € 31,200, which should be one of the best-selling models. At the top, the DS 4 Cross Rivoli in plug-in hybrid E-Tense 225 engine throne at € 47,500, almost the price of the entry level of the large DS 9 sedan !

For those looking for a more dynamic DS 4, you can opt for the DS 4 Performance Line + with the PureTech 180, offered at € 39,600.

The DS 4 is now available to order, the complete configurator should soon appear on the manufacturer’s website. The first deliveries are scheduled for the end of the year.
