It is not easy to entrust a Rolls-Royce to tuning specialists, but the Germans at Spofec have successfully taken care of the new Ghost.

Spofec (for “SPirit OF ECstasy”) is the department of the German preparer Novitec specializing in the preparation of models of the Rolls-Royce brand. After the Wraith Black Badge, here is a new personalization and performance pack intended for the second generation of the Ghost.

The power of the 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 in the new Rolls-Royce Ghost has been increased to 685 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque, thanks to an additional unit called “Spofec N-Tronic.”

They allowed an increase of no less than 114 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque compared to the original configuration. Performance is up, with a 0 to 100 km / h swallowed in 4.5 seconds, or 0.3 seconds better, while the top speed remains limited to 250 km / h.

As an option, an active stainless steel exhaust system is also available, offering a sportier sound to the luxury sedan.

Spofec Rolls-Royce Ghost: discreet personalization

Unlike Mansory’s eccentricity, Novitec Spofec prefers discretion: aesthetically, this Ghost offers carbon-fiber bodywork elements, such as a revised front bumper with more oversized air intakes, side vents, side sill extensions, a discreet rear spoiler, as well as a redesigned rear apron.

Of particular note is the superb 22-inch Vossen forged rims, enhanced by the “Spofec Can-Tronic” air suspension, which lowers the trim level by 40 mm.

The interior is fully customizable to the customer’s taste. In this example, they trimmed the interior in black leather with contrasting orange accents, matched with shiny black inserts on the dashboard and center console.

Spofec has not specified a price for this preparation for the new Ghost, but given the number of luxurious materials used, such as carbon fiber, it is already looking expensive. A standard Rolls-Royce Ghost is already selling for a check for around 300,000 euros, excluding options.

Bentley took another unprecedented step when it decided to market in 2015 its first SUV, the Bentayga, going well beyond the luxury sedans, coupes, and convertibles usually made by the British firm.

So, why not a pickup? It was a crazy idea that a wealthy British owner of a Flying Spur had.

For this, he called on DC Customs, an English company located not far from Birmingham and specializing in the restoration of classic models and the preparation of fully personalized cars.

This Bentley Flying Spur Decadence does not go unnoticed.

Initially, the Bentley Flying Spur was a large four-door sedan: for this project called “Decadence,” They utterly transformed the rear part.

The two rear doors have disappeared, and a large tipper has replaced the welcoming rear seats and the trunk.

The car was made with a luxurious wood veneer, made like the floor of a luxury yacht.

This new space perfectly complements the interior of the vehicle, covered in two-tone caramel leather, contrasting with a brown carpet and noble wood inserts.

The exterior styling is also eye-catching, with two-tone paintwork combining a deep purple with a metallic gray that can find on the hood and the front grille, not to mention the “Decadence” badges.

DC Customs did not specify its price, nor how many hours were necessary to carry out this crazy project.

But that made this unique example of running on the road, and that its happy owner will therefore drive it…

The Crewe firm offers six body colors that go particularly well with those gold accents, but customers will also be able to choose their body color from Bentley’s full color chart. This special edition is also distinguished by a door sill trim marked “Odyssean Edition”, completed by a specific badge located on the rear pillar.

The Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition is limited to 300 copies, the price of which has not been disclosed by the brand. Under the hood, it features a hybrid engine combining a 2.9-liter V6 block with an electric motor, for a combined power of 544 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque , i.e. 95 additional horsepower compared to the Bentayga Hybrid. 0 to 100 km / h takes 4.3 seconds, for a top speed of 285 km / h.

Meeting the strict standards of the TÜV ( Technischer ÜberwachungsVerei ), it is the first carbon wheel to have passed all of the German body’s most rigorous tests for non-metallic wheels: biaxial stress, tire pressure, excessive torque , or radial and side impact tests, to simulate traffic through potholes and cobblestones.

To produce this unique rim, a new manufacturing process has been patented: the carbon fiber is cut, then the elements are assembled, stacked and heated in a mold, to give the final shape of the product. A specific resin and hardener are finally injected into the assembly, which is then temperature hardened before demoulding and finishing operations (machining and polishing).

This unprecedented carbon fiber rim is a real showcase for Mulliner , which highlights its know-how and its ability to provide Bentley customers with innovative and unique personalization elements. Available to order at the end of 2021 , it will complete the range of carbon fiber parts designed for the Bentayga, made up of the front spoiler, the side sills and the rear diffuser, not to mention the interior inserts in carbon fiber.

With more weight and more power, the Lexus UC should approach more of a traditional GT than of a small sports car like its cousins ​​BRZ and GR 86. The interior should logically become much more opulent, to reach the standards of the premium brand of the Toyota group. In particular, we expect extended leather and larger screens inside.

Obviously, a much higher price should accompany this Lexus UC. Where we expect the Toyota GR 86 below the € 35,000 mark, this Lexus could approach € 50,000… If ever it were to be marketed in France. Also according to Car and Driver, an announcement on this subject should be made by the end of the year. The Lexus UC would therefore join the other coupes in the range, the RCF (soon to disappear) and the LC .

With this gain in power, the Manhart MH3 600 reaches 200 km / h in less than 10.5 seconds, and the bar of 250 km / h in less than 17 seconds. The latter is four seconds faster than the production car. The intermediate sprint of 100 to 200 km / h is achieved in just 6.42 seconds.

As a reminder, the car is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo in-line 6 cylinder . For preparation, Manhart improved its performance by installing new engine power management software. And the power gain is impressive!

An even more prestigious version, equipped with a V12 engine, should make its appearance later.
