The British brand Mini wants to promote a more sustainable image, and will therefore stop using leather in its next cars.
This may be the beginning of the end for the leather inside our cars. In any case, this is what Mini wants: the brand will stop producing leather-covered interiors from the next generation of its range .
The British firm intends to be more respectful of the environment and animals.
As small an environmental footprint as possible
For Oliver Heilmer, designer of the brand, “Mini does not need leather, because we are convinced that this material is not sustainable and responsible”. He also advances the fact that the fabric seats in the current range are made from 100% recycled material : “the objective is to have as small an environmental footprint as possible for each of our products”.
On the other hand, there is no question of attacking sporty models like the Mini John Cooper Works : ” Mini must always be fun , we must keep this emotional connection for our most devoted fans”.
