DS lifts the veil on the new and second generation of DS 4. Look, interior, technologies, engines, launch date, price …
This is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated novelties of the start of 2021: after the DS 3 and DS 7 Crossback SUVs and the DS 9 sedan , the French manufacturer DS is launching a fourth model , the new DS 4 , which marks the return of the firm to the compact segment , three years after the discontinuation of the first DS 4.
Halfway between the compact sedan and the coupe SUV
And the least we can say is that for this second generation, DS hits hard with XL dimensions (4.40 m long, 1.83 m wide and 1.47 m high) and a completely new silhouette .
The overall line is athletic and muscular with a long hood and a coupe-like profile . The features are both elegant and racy.
At the front sits an imposing grille with a three-dimensional grille framed by tapered headlamps, themselves accompanied by large vertical LED daytime running lights. These are pushed back to the ends of the front bumper to offer a new light signature and accentuate the impression of width and therefore the seat of the vehicle.
In profile, the sides are sculpted, the handles are flush and we notice the presence of very large wheels. Note also the generous musculature and sharp edges of the rear wings.
At the rear, the pavilion stretches out to descend very low on a small particularly inclined bezel. The lights, meanwhile, display a pattern in the form of scales, as on the DS 7 Crossback.
